Nepal
Into the Himalayas, on foot
Two weeks of walking, high and slow. Long days, thin air, and evenings where nobody is in a hurry to speak.
- About two weeks
- Trekking · silence · altitude
- No experience needed, decent fitness does

The Beehives
Journeys we would like to make with you. None of them is planned. Each one becomes real when fifty people say they want to go
How a trip becomes real
An email address, against one trip. Nothing is charged, nothing is booked, and you are not committed to anything yet.
Below fifty a trip stays a proposal. At fifty we plan it properly — dates, a place to stay, what the days actually hold, and what it costs.
Everyone who put their name down hears first, and hears the whole plan before deciding. Then it moves to Meetups & events with a date on it.
Why fifty
Because it is the number at which a journey stops being an idea. Fifty is enough to fill a place, share the cost, and make the days worth building — and few enough that we can still know who came.
The counts on this page are real. They come from the people who have actually written their address down, and nothing rounds them up.
The journeys
Each of these is a place one of us has already been, and would go back to with company. Put your name to any number of them.

Egypt
Desert, stone and fire. We walk between camps, eat what our hosts cook, and sleep where the sky is the ceiling.
Counting…
Crete
A week of breath and water. Mornings in the sea learning to go down calmly, afternoons doing very little.
Counting…
Crete
A silent week, held properly. You will be fed, you will sit, you will walk, and for seven days you will not have to answer anyone.

Crete
Cold water in the morning, heat in the evening, and a fire on the beach in between. The oldest way we know to feel awake.

The plain facts
We do not know yet, and we will not guess. A trip is priced when it is planned, from what it actually costs to run. You will see the number, and the days it covers, before anyone asks you for anything.
Nothing. Your name against a trip is a signal, not a booking. When the trip is planned you get one email with the whole plan, and you say yes or no then.
We write to you about the trip you chose, and nothing else. It is not added to any other list and it goes to nobody. Ask us to remove it and it is gone the same day — hello@osmia.day.
Then we do not run it, and we tell you so rather than letting it sit here forever. A journey nobody wants is not a journey worth making.
People who use Osmia, and people who found this page. You do not have to be fit, experienced, or any good at sitting still. You do have to be willing to be somewhere unfamiliar with people you have not met.
Write to us. These five are where we have been — they are not the whole world, and the list will grow with what people ask for.
The trips are the far end of the same road. It begins with a morning, at home, in the app.
